Women Should Be Silent in the Church!Point 1: If you want me to take this scripture (I Corinthians 14:34) literally and quite out of context, then women should not be allowed to speak or sing in church at all. What about the women who lead singing and teach classes? What about all those women's committees that dare to meet in the church building? Should they use hand signals instead of their voices? So, if we take this scripture literally, women must not speak at all in church. They can't say "hi" to neighbors and friends, and they can't tell their children to sit still and listen, right? Point 2: Those who choose to take one Bible scripture out of context and choose to take the words literally must do so with ALL scripture. (You either take the Bible literally, or you interpret it. I won't let you mix-n-match if you wanna argue with me.)
