By Grace You Are SavedNo one is saved by good works. (This keeps us from being consumed by pride.) Are those hypocrites in church saved? Yup, as long as they believe Jesus is God's son, and that he died for our sins, then rose from the dead on the third day. It kind of ticks you off until you realize you don't deserve to be saved either. (And aren't we all hypocritical about something?) Do you have to be baptized to be saved? If you have to be baptized, what about the babies who are stillborn? Are they condemned to the fiery depths of hell? What about the thief on the cross with Jesus, whose faith saved him in his last hours? So, anyway, why do some church people do the goody-two-shoes thing? Because they are so grateful for God's grace and mercy that they do good works in gratitude. God's grace is all you need to be saved. Ask for it today. (And be so terribly grateful that you stop and help someone.)
